If you’re using a third-party form like Typeform, Wufoo, or Jotform embedded on a Wix site, you might find that Attributer doesn’t work as intended.
This article explains the reasons behind the issue and outlines the available options.
Why it doesn’t work
When you embed a form on your page using Wix’s HTML Embed element, Wix doesn’t load the form directly on your page. Instead, Wix loads the form inside an iFrame—a kind of “window” within your page that displays content from another website.
This means that the form itself isn’t part of the actual content of your page, but is displayed inside a separate window within it. Because of this, Attributer isn’t able to access or write attribution data into the hidden fields of the form, as it’s not directly embedded in the page.
What you can do instead
For optimal results, we recommend using Wix’s built-in form builder. Attributer works seamlessly with forms created in Wix, and you can follow the instructions here to set it up.
If you want to send lead data from your Wix forms to a CRM or other marketing tools, Wix supports Zapier integration—which connects with over 2,000 tools.
