Google Tag Manager simplifies the management of third-party code, like the Attributer code, on your website. Follow these steps to integrate Attributer using Google Tag Manager.
Step 1: Create a New Tag
- Log into Google Tag Manager and navigate to your dashboard.
- Click the “Add a New Tag” button.

Step 2: Name Your Tag
- In the top left corner of the new tag box, enter a name for your tag. A simple name like ‘Attributer’ is recommended for easy identification.

Step 3: Enter the Attributer Code
- Click on the ‘Tag Configuration’ section to open the tag settings.

- From the list of tag types, select ‘Custom HTML’.

- In the provided box, paste the Attributer code from your account dashboard.

Step 4: Choose a Trigger
- Click on the Triggering section below the code box.

- Select ‘All Pages’ from the list of available triggers.

Step 5: Save Your Tag
After entering the Attributer code and selecting the trigger, click the blue “Save” button.

Step 6: Publish Your Tag
- To make your changes live, click the ‘Submit’ button in the top right corner.

- On the Submission Configuration page, ensure ‘Publish and Create Version’ is selected.
- Name this new version (e.g., ‘Added Attributer’) and optionally add a description (e.g., ‘Added the Attributer code to the site’).

- Click the Publish button to finalize.

Step 7: Check the Version Summary
- After publishing, you’ll be redirected to the Version Summary report.
- Look for the Attributer tag in the ‘Version Changes’ section to confirm it has been successfully added.
